Rashfa

A specialty coffee brand that reads like a magazine

A self-initiated concept for a specialty coffee café: an editorial, sun-lit identity with a pinned signature-drinks chapter, built on Astro so it stays fast on a phone in a café queue.

Rashfa interface
A self-initiated concept, built at SIMA Studio for a fictional specialty coffee café. Cafés compete on atmosphere, so the site had to carry the feeling of the place — light, texture, calm — while loading instantly for someone standing outside deciding whether to come in. An art direction with a point of view. Midday sun and long shadows rather than the usual soft, warm café photography, so the brand looks like itself and not like every other roaster. A pinned drinks chapter. Scrolling rolls a counter and wipes in each signature drink in place, turning a menu list into a sequence. Open-now status. The header states whether the café is open, computed from opening hours in local time rather than a static line that goes stale. A mobile action bar. WhatsApp, directions and call, always within thumb reach — the three things anyone actually wants from a café site on a phone. Astro, deliberately. The page is static HTML with motion added only where it earns its place, which is why it holds up on a weak connection. A concept project: the café, its menu and its location are invented and labelled as such. It exists to show art direction and motion on a fast, content-led site rather than a heavy one.
